How to Trust Your Intuition

After my Traumatic Brain Injury a few years ago, I suddenly lost abilities that we take for granted every day.  I found myself no longer able to predict outcomes (i.e. if I walk in front of traffic, I'll get hit by a car, etc.), the link between cause & effect was broken.  I could not foresee 5 minutes from now.  My world was a thick fog and I could not see in front of me.

Unfortunately, I still had to make decisions:  Where do I go from here?  Do I eat this falafel?  Do I take legal action against my former employer for disability discrimination & wrongful termination?  Do I pay my credit cards or my rent?  Can I trust what this person is telling me?

My inability to see a path forward did not negate the need for decisions to be made.  Without the cognitive ability for logical, rational thought, I followed my body's intelligence to find the answer....

This is what I found...

When facing a decision, let your bodily reaction guide you.  For example, if one possibility makes you feel anxious, causes a racing heart, dread, fear, sweaty palms, nausea, a sinking feeling, etc.  This is your intuition telling you "ABORT!".  What you're feeling is fear, and fear-based decisions are ALWAYS subpar & damaging.

If when facing a decision, your body feels relaxed, you can breathe easily, like you're in a warm bath tub of security, perhaps you feel joyful anticipation or clear non-resistance, this is your intuition telling you "GO FOR IT!".  What you're feeling is Love, and we only ever have two choices in life:  Love or Fear.  Love-based decisions are in alignment with the Highest Good of all involved.  Actions based in Love heal the world.

We already possess the knowingness of what's in our highest good.  All we have to do is stop, breathe deep, sink into our heart, connect to our intuition and listen for the answer via our body's response.

Years later, now that my cognition has returned, I STILL rely on my intuition for decision-making, as it has proven time & again to never lead me astray.

This power, this ability is your birthright.  Use the magic within you in ways you never thought possible.  When you go inside for the answers, instead of looking to others, you Take Your Power Back. ❤️
